Stream Team #2264The Brush Creek Mid-Shed Project has formed a volunteer Missouri Stream Team! See the CALENDAR for upcoming Stream Team events! MO Stream Teams strive to assist in the proper management of our waterways. The Stream Team program organizes concerned citizens to address stream problems on a local level. Collectively, Stream Team members learn to monitor water quality on a geographic scale far beyond what government agencies can do. They also work to plant trees, stabilize stream banks, and improve fish and wildlife habitats in or near streams. Homeowners, students, landowners, and businesses are all examples of the cross section of society that the Stream Team hopes to enlist in the efforts to conserve our streams. Several of our Project volunteers have already undergone water quality monitoring training, including both biological and chemical methods, and plan to make monitoring of Brush Creek a quarterly event! All are welcome to participate in any of the Stream Team activities, regardless of age or ability! We provide all necessary equipment and any training you desire!
